shooting a score

I hear so many people talking about this putt or that putt or this bounce or "if only" something had gone differently, they would have shot the score they wanted. But that's the beauty of golf. In the end, progess is so easy to measure. "What did you shoot?" Every round might not be spectacular, but the golfer you are will be clearly shown in the scores that you shoot over time.

I've embraced all the different games within golf, and how they cross over and how they differ. And I do love it all. I love the feeling of improving, of figuring something out that was causing consternation (and double bogeys). I feel like I am learning at a rapid pace. Now the only job is to:

Shoot a Score. Rinse. Repeat.

I look forward to reporting back when sub-80s scores become a regularity. I want to be able to coast to a 75, without really even paying attention. And I want to break 70.
