This stuff is an excellent practice aid. It's called "Industrial Choice Precision Line Inverted Marking Paint by Rust-Oleum" It's basically washable spray paint and it allows you to easily see where on the clubface you're striking the ball. If most of your shots are on the toe or heel, adjusting your distance from the ball is an easy fix. I use it all the time and people always ask me about it at the range. They sell a product similar to this at golf stores, but it is 20x as expensive. Better to buy this stuff at your local hardware store. Just make sure you buy the "water-based" and not "solvent-based" type. It's easy to wipe off your clubs immediately after a range session. If you leave it on too long, you'll need to scrub a bit. I've never used solvent-based, but I know the water-based one will do no harm at all to your golf clubs. And it will do wonders for your golf game.
The Dave Pelz is big on practicing with feedback, and I am in full agreement with him on this concept. And this marking paint is a great way to do it.
